The Guiding principle of New Washington Commercial SpaceShips is the use of proven technology and proven experience in construction - such as available near a former ship- building area.(In fact in the US it has been recommended that rather then build space ships in Florida where there is no local experience - they should be built in Detroit/Michigan area.

The most rapid developments in Space explorations have been politically driven - New Washington is a political statement and refers to a source of financing - the repayments of war-debt incurred to provide the present freedom
If Nasa after 40 years of Space development has to resort to a 1960s concept, then surely with todays technology it should be possible for for a large organization to build a fleet of SpaceShips for commercial work in space and extend the range of the value system into Space.
For this to be achieved certain criteria have to be met - The Ships should not be viewed as experimental - they have to be designed with one simple aim long term existence in Space.
This means that the function are totally simplified to that aim.
The system has to make use of the positive aspects of space - fuel only required for change of speed and direction, minimal wear and tear.
Weight and size are irrelevant .
What is required is the courage to get into Space.
Law-in-Space sets out the primary guidelines for Space. There are International Treaties restricting countries in space applications but there can be no control on exploitation and use of extra-planetary resources while no one is actually there - so the first there must have natural rights - a system of financial promotion of inter-planetary travel by giving area ownership - e.g. the first country/or company to Mars would get 8% of the planet - is being dealt with in ValueinSpace.
If Britain wants to go into Space then it is really quite straightforward - it has to build a fleet of space-ships based on a 40 year-old technology - using cheaper production now available - taking advantage of the pure bulk of the close formation fleet to provide the fuel food and environment for a journey of up to 2 years.
NWCSS has identified 2 main types of SpaceShips that can be constructed now for the specific application of the colonization of Asteroids Moons and Planets to establish their ownership for economic spiritual and cultural applications.
The standard chemical and or atomic powered large scale Apollo type structure that could have been used to go to Mars in the 1980s. Which with reasonably financing and a concentrated application can be used in a fleet by 2017.
A basic modular design which encapsulates all lhat is required for the colonisation in the interconnected space ship itself - this would be constructed in orbit and allow for a fluidic application on any planet.
All the technology is available now in this application and simply depends on the will and the pull of economic gain and the ability to forget research and apply knowledge.
